Cheap-O Lipstick Love

I love lipstick. A lot. But I don't believe that it's always worth paying a lot for. There are a lot of hidden gems out there. Unfortunately, drugstore lipsticks are often hit or miss, and you sometimes waste a bit of money in the gamble of it all, which is why I tend to rely heavily on reviews myself.

So in France, Revlon lipsticks (not on sale) range from 15€-20€ depending on where you pick them up. Mac lipsticks are 18.50€ on their French website. Insane, right? French drugstore products tend to be such a rip off. Definitely a gamble, right?

Luckily, if you like to experiment with colors, but don't like crappy quality, Kiko has a huge range of pretty lip colors that won't break the bank. They also have sales frequently, and you can pick up their cheapest lippies for just 2.50€ - an absolute steal.

My favorite color at the moment is Baby Pink #910 from the Smart Lipstick range.

Scent
Smells slightly sweet, and a bit like vanilla. It's barely noticeable and has no taste if you accidentally get a bit in your mouth.

Staying Power
Incredibly Average. 3-4 hours if you don't eat. But you will probably need to reapply after lunch or any snacking. Darker colors in the range tend to stain the lips a bit more and therefore last a bit longer.

Texture
Oh so creamy and smooth. Just glides right on.

Dry Lips?
As with all lipsticks, you'll need to exfoliate your lips if they're chapped. But this formula doesn't cling to normal dry patches and is more on the hydrating side. Doesn't dry out my lips at all.

I have this in a 3 other shades as well all of which are lovely. But baby pink is definitely my favorite.
