Blogger Problems
Let's just start this post by saying that I stole someone else's idea. Autumn did this hilarious post about blogger problems a while back, and I've been wanting to add my two cents ever since. She's funny and witty, my favorite kind of blogger.
I also did guest post for her once about the worst dating advice I'd ever gotten. You can read that one here.
End shameless plug.
Being a blogger can be pretty weird, especially when you find yourself with too much time on your hands one day, and you find out just how obsessive you can be with this hobby. So today I'm going to talk a little bit about that weird side, and let you in on a few of my #bloggerproblems
Not responding to comments for a day or two.
I've learned not to worry too much about it. Do your best and then forget about it. You're probably never going to catch up anyway. Try again tomorrow.
Realizing that you don't have time to write a post one day when your sponsors are counting on you.
"Guess I'll be staying up until 2 a.m. again..." Oops.
Getting really, really odd e-mails.
You spend twenty minutes going "How do I respond to that?" You don't want to hurt anyone's feelings, but their e-mail scares you a little bit. It's got creeper/potential stalker written all over it.
Luckily, these have been rare so far.
Realizing you suck at photography.
Forgetting your camera.
I try to have at least one photo or image per post. Sometimes, I really want to write about something awesome that happened, and then I realize that I didn't take any pictures. Boo.
People asking you for free advertising.
Asking for button swaps is one thing, and certainly doesn't fall under this category. I don't do them any more, because I've had some bad experiences in the past, and the demand got to be overwhelming. But they can be pretty fun, and beneficial for both of you. Win-win. However, just straight up asking for free advertising isn't very polite.
Imagine writing to your local newspaper or a magazine, and being like "Hey, I have a great product to sell. I'll do you a favor and write an article for your magazine about it for free." First of all, it would be extremely unfair of them to give you the space for free, if they've already made other people pay. Secondly, it's a really poor business investment for a blogger since sponsored guest posts turn a lot of people off. It doesn't reflect well on their blog.
Wishing I'd set up an anonymous blog.
I would have SO many good stories to tell you. Sometimes, I would love the liberty to be really frank about the things I'm feeling or thinking. Unfortunately, a lot of people I know in real life read this blog. Hi mom!
Kicking myself for not having more posts written out in advance.
Realizing I have a ton of typos in one of my posts... a week later.
This is something that happens to me alot.
Finding out that Passionfruit is going to cost $9 a month now.
I'm not allowed to accept sponsorship money on my blog at the moment, because of crazy, complicated French work laws. There's no way I'm paying $50 a year in the hope that I might possibly be able to accept sponsors again. Bummer.
Realizing your wardrobe is really small.
My entire wardrobe (pants, skirts, and shirts included) fits into one large drawer.
No, really.
If it looks like I'm wearing the same three outfits in all of my posts, that's because I am.
Realizing half your links haven't working for at least a week.
When it comes to Html problems, I've been there. Often.
It's time to link-up all of your most hilarious posts.
Isn't that great? A link-up where you'll actually want to click & read all the other posts. No better way to start off the weekend than with some good laughs, right?
So how does it work?
1. Please Grab the Button or put a link back to the link-up somewhere on your post/blog, so that your readers can enjoy everyone's funny posts.
2. Your Hosts would LOVE for you to follow them.
3. Please link up to a specific post and not just your blog's main page.

If you just aren't funny or haven't ever written a funny post, don't worry! Just make a post on Friday sharing the funniest things you saw/heard that week. You can use photos, youtube videos, jokes, a funny conversation that you recently heard, anything - as long as it's legal!
Did another blogger post something hilariously funny this week & you really want to share the link? That's fine too! Just let them know that you linked them up. :)
There aren't a lot of "rules" for this link up. The goal is to get people smiling. You can even link-up your old funny posts!
4. Feel free to share other blogger's funny posts. I'm sure they'll appreciate the love, we'll appreciate reading them, and you'll win extra good karma points. :)
Remember, the goal is to get people smiling.
